Virtualization and the Cloud. You’ve heard about it. You know it’s coming:

You have questions? We have answers.
Let CSS be a part of your virtualization conversation.

What Is Cloud Computing?
Cloud computing is the next stage in the Internet’s evolution, providing the means through which everything  – from computing power to computing infrastructure, applications, business processes to personal collaboration  – can be delivered to you as a service wherever and whenever you need.

The “cloud” in cloud computing can be defined as the set of hardware, networks, storage, services, and interfaces that combine to deliver aspects of computing as a service. Cloud services include the delivery of software, infrastructure, and storage over the Internet (either as separate components or a complete platform) based on user demand.

CSS is experienced with various back up and storage solutions and can help your company to develop a recovery strategy.

  • How long does it take to back up your data?
  • How long would it take for you to recover if your system went down?

What is Storage?
The need for data creation, archiving, and retrieval pervades every aspect of a successful business. Employee and customer data have to be collected, maintained, and accessible in an environment that is secure and reliable. Access to intellectual property—from customer contact information and business process documentation to financial records and profitability assessments—has to be managed to allow the right level of access. We want all data available anytime, anywhere, on any device, without any wait or any hassle.

Storage is a way to store, catalog, and retrieve information electronically. Regardless of the name, storage is way more than information management; it’s ultimately about protecting your most valuable assets and maintaining your competitive edge in the marketplace.

Operating without storage is no longer a safe option for your clients.
In fact, it can be deadly:

  • 70 percent of companies who suffer a major data loss go out of business.
  • 93 percent of companies that lost their data center for 10 days or more due to a disaster filed for bankruptcy within one year of the disaster.

Storage protects you against:

  • Poor storage management.
  • Hard drive crash (one occurs every 15 seconds).
  • User error (32 percent of the time).
  • Fire, inside theft, water damage, computer virus, burglary, hacker, or terrorist attack.

Why Storage? : Storage is fundamental to business growth and market competitiveness for many reasons:

  • We won’t go back to paper-based systems
  • Not having data when the Feds want it means prosecution
  • Microsoft Windows keeps getting bigger
  • The Internet cache
  • Podcasts, mega pixel photographs, and gigabyte videos
  • Sharing information (create once, use many times)
  • Data can be 90 percent of a company’s value
